Our kitchen has never had a cabinet mounted microwave and we've never had a cooking vent. We love the additional counter space we now have and the ability to vent moisture from cooking outside of our home. Its worked well for us and is easy to use. My only complaint is I haven't been able to register it as the website shows the FD number is invalid. I haven't gotten any support from Bosch to resolve this.

This microwave has a full rack so that you can cook more than one item at a time. The lights are LED for the range top so you don't have to replace them constantly. The door opens and closes easily. The fan is not quiet. The inside is white so I can see inside easily while the food is cooking.

Product kept cooking even after designated time. A service tech had to come out (shortly after purchasing). He thinks we need a new one, that this new one is defective. He has to check with warranty and will get back to me tomorrow. I'm sorry I bought this!

Seems like very even heating, but the main issues are that it's mounted a bit high, and that it doesn't have some of the, what I consider, common options.

The microwave is easy to use. The controls and features are customer friendly. The only thing that could improve it the metal rack should be mounted in the middle of the microwave or higher. We often have to take it out to use the turntable.

Had 4 year old GE profile hated it. Love the design and everything about it. Light underneath is great vent works perfectly. Has a rack and turntable which makes it more versatile than my old one. Like the placement of handle and the sticker I added from packaging inside with suggestions for various cooking items.

This is the loudest microwave I have come across in years or maybe my entire life. The microwave uses the old school door hooks. They close tightly, but opening and closing the door is very loud. Also, the microwave fan is incredibly loud. Not just the range vent fan, but the fan that runs during microwaving as well. It sounds like a 30 year old bathroom exhaust fan from grandmas house. Furthermore, after every fourth or fifth use, the microwave fan will stay on even after it's done microwaving. Everything about this microwave is loud and makes it feel cheap. After working late, I'm afraid to reheat pizza because the noise may wake the kids, my wife, or startle the dog from their bedrooms (which are on the other side of the house). Would return if Home Depot would allow. However, it does match my the other appliances. . . Would not recommend this microwave unless you are extremely concerned with all appliances matching (Even then, May want to consider other brands). Bought because I love the bosch 12v tools.
Additionally, I was put in an unfortunate situation with the "buy more save more" rebate. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the rebate, all appliances must be purchased together. However, the appliances we wanted were not available, so we bought what was available to take advantage of the rebate. However, after purchasing the set, we reviewed the alternate dishwasher and microwave. They were not rated highly, so exchanged the series 300 for this series 500 microwave. Long story short, refrigerator was not eligible for rebate, exchanged microwave was not eligible for rebate, and with only having an eligible "2 piece set", dishwashers don't count. Purchased with expectations of a $750 rebate. Ended with $0 rebate and are stuck with the appliances we compromised with in pursuit of the rebate.

The microwave unit is quite loud making grinding like noise each time we use it. Technicians are baffled at the cause but have order a number of parts to try and resolve. Disappointing for a Bosch product.

I have all Bosch appliances in my home that were purchased 5 years ago for new construction and have been used for 3-1/2 years. After 1 year of use, my microwave, HMV5053U/01, had a couple of the lines disappear on the clock display. This make the clock illegible which is disappointing. The cost to fix the clock is estimated at $300. I chose to live with a faulty clock. Now the microwave randomly makes a quick loud noise that sounds if someone is being electrocuted. The microwave continues to work correctly, but this is concerning. Also this week, my refrigerator, B26FT80SN5/03, has twice poured water out of the ice/water dispenser without anyone near it. I saw it happen the second time and ran water for about 45 seconds, which covered my floor. I have loved Bosch dishwashers for many years and wrongly assumed their other appliances would be as durable and quiet. I was wrong. I am replacing the microwave with a different brand and will do the same with the other appliances as needed. To be fair, I have had no issues with my range, HGI8054UC/06. It has performed well. I still am a fan of their dishwashers also.

So far I have no complaints. This is my first purchase of Bosch appliance. I love where the light shines on stove and fan is strong enough to pull exhaust away from stove. Very easy to use.

We purchased our Bosch microwave expecting it to be
as wonderful as our Bosch dishwasher. While it's sleek and attractive, the micro is a disappointment !!
For some unexplained (annoying) reason the micro
fan continues to run even when the timer goes off !!
I was so concerned about it that I contacted the dealer and they sent a repairman to check it. He said it was not a defect, but actually (unbelievably) part of the microwave design !!!!!! It is so irritating & annoying !!!! We actually DISLIKE this micro & wish our original GE hadn't died !!!

The looks of the machine is appeasing. It heats quickly and efficiently. The over the range lights are great! It would be nice if the numbers were lit for nightime entry. The door seems to be off center in terms of closing. It has to lift to close. It also seems a bit loud when operating compared to my previous wave. Just my opinion.

I love this microwave! It heats fast and evenly .. it's a great size. Lots of easy options. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the Bosch emblem on the front is not straight. A small thing but I see it. It looks tacky for a high end appliance. I still recommend this microwave though.

I am new to Bosch at 80 yrs old. This appliance is a dream. I am use to cleaning my old unit several times weekly do to food splatter (even though I cover my food during cooking). With my Bosch the cooking and warming is much faster, even and with NO splatter. It was close to 3 wks before the first cleaning. Not because it needed it, I just felt like I should. LOVE MY BOSCH MICROWAVE.

The microwave stopped working after 4 years. Two service calls and $300 later, it was delcared unfixable. Now there is a 6-8 month wait for a replacement. It is a differnt size than other microwaves, so I need to wait for this one, so it will fit in the same spot, even though I will need to have someone re-tile my backsplash after it is installed. I bought a tabletop microwave to use in the meantime. While it was working, it worked well, but the stainless areas were impossible to keep streak-free, even with using the Bosch cleaner. Very frustrated.

The microwave with convection oven is very nice. I wanted the oven to bake pizza but found that it was difficult to get the oven to over 375 degrees. The other issue that I would have liked to seen was automatic starts when engaging the numbered minute buttons. Over all I am very pleased with the quality and style of this oven

This is a nice looking microwave, but it tends to be loud. The installation was simple, and fits well. The doors seem robust and the touch pad works and as a unit, it heats well. The only issue is how loud it is. Seems much louder than my old one. I'm not sure if there is something amiss with the unit, it works but is loud.

The door-latching mechanism has failed now three times, each time tripping the circuit breaker. The first failure was under warranty, the second failure was on my dime. I refuse to pay for the third failure and will soon junk this very disaappointing Bosch product!

Conked out twice in 2 years. Bought in 2019, conked out in Feb 2020, Got a replacement as it was in warranty and even the replacement conked out today Nov 10, 2021 and we are out of warranty as it is only for 1 year. All but used for 30-40 minutes in a day! Worthless piece of junk.

The BOSCH 500 Series Over-The-Range Microwave we just purchased is a definite upgrade from the 25 year old microwave it replace. It is very stylish, quiet, modern, and easy to operate. A set of simple instructions on how to use the machine was given and is readily available to handle to do the "once in a while" microwaving we may do. The basics are a easy to do. I would highly recommend this model.
