The very best gas range

Had it for 3 months in our new kitchen so far. All is well, my better half could use even without reading instructions. She had no complaints of significance. The best part is that it is very easy to clean.

So Far So Good

Quite the upgrade from what we previously had. Didn't want to go the Korean brand route due to reading the terrible customer service complaints, and the "American" brands didn't really do it for us, though time will tell how Bosch stands behind this productl; based upon reviews it seems like this was a wise choice. I question why the grates are so high above the burners, but seems to be similar to others; maybe has to do with better heat distribution over a wider area. Love that you can get the oven temp down low enough and the use of convection for dehydrating meats and vegetables. Baking 2 trays of cookies at a time with the convection is pretty even heat thoughout the oven which nice to have. My only complaint is that for somereason, the top left and right sides of the oven aren't dead level but a very slight dip in the middle. Can't for the life of me figure why that would be; the grates sit level thankfully. Overall seems like a very well built stove and very solid. Do beware though of the two small rubber "bumpers" on the inside face of the over where the door closes upon; they pop out really easy. A twist and push in and they're in, but it's easy to brush them unknowningly and find them missing.

Loving My Oven
Lola

So, I have had my oven for nearly 7 months. I didn't write a review straight away because I wanted to get used to it before I would comment on it. I agree with a few comments on heating water in a saucepan but I have found that if I place my lid on my pans (the lids are glass which is a plus) then the boiling time takes no time at all and then when the boiling process gets wild I just tilt the lid a little, leaving a slight gap and I have a constant boil. For me this is no big deal but to others it might be a pain. Loving the warming draw, never had one of these on my previous ovens. Cannot complain about the fan noise. I have had 2 convection ovens through out my life and my new gas range sounds normal to me! Now the cleaning of the cook top and grates. I will spend a good hour plus once or maybe twice a week cleaning my cook top and front. I do have slight ocd but I enjoy bringing it back to the condition it looked when it first got installed. I use everything that Bosch recommends to clean it with. I have seriously not had any problems with scratcthes or stubborn marks, grates fading. Yes it may take me a while cleaning it but for me if I am going to spend alot of money on an item I will take care of it. It's stainless steel so it is going to take a little effort cleaning it. Cannot comment on the proof function as I haven't used it for yeast recipes yet but I will do soon but I have used the pizza mode, works well. Roasting joints of meats with roast potatoes is a breeze and my yorkshire puddings are amazing coming out of the oven. I do bake cakes once a week or a pastry dessert and everything is fabulous. Well I hope my review will be of help. The 4.5 rating I have given is because of the boiling of water but that's my only slight niggle.
